  Nigerian youth constitute an integral part of the increasing shift of migrants from Africa to advanced nations. In 2016, more than 20,000 who sailed the Mediterranean Sea were reported to be from Nigeria. Moreover, from 2017 till late 2019, Nigerians in their hundreds were exiled from several destinations, including Italy, Libya, and South Africa (Lanre, 2020). People often leave their present geographic location in search of greener pastures for various reasons.
